OXI Day

• Our school will celebrate the OXI day with a special Doxologia in our church, and a visit to the Cenotaph at Victoria Park. Teachers and students will go tot church to pay their respects to the thousands of Greek soldiers who lost their lives during the war of the 1940, and to celebrate the historic OXI of October 28th, 1940.
• School buses will leave St Martin's around 10:15 and drive the students to the church for the Doxology. After the Doxology, the buses will go to Vicotria Park fo the laying of the wreath around 11:45, and then back to the school for the regular pick up. If you would like to pickup your child at Victoria Park, please inform the teacher in order to avoid any confusion or accident.
• I would like to ask the parents, especially of the little children, to dress them with Greek national costumes or clothes with blue and white colours. Please help the school to keep the traditional ways of celebrating Greek national days.

Toronto Field Trip:

• We have scheduled a field trip to Toronto for students from grades 7-12. The purpose of this trip is to visit the Royal Ontario Museum and spend time in the Greek Gallery where the students will listen, study, and do assignments based on the historical periods of Greece. After we finish with the visit to the Museum, and for a smalltime in the afternoon, the students will visit the Danforth for some discovery exercises and some leisure time in the famous Greek town.
• Our time schedule is to depart St. Martin's at 8:00 am and be back in London, at St. Martin's between 7:00 and 8:00 pm. The transportation from London to Toronto will be by a highway coach. The cost for the trip is $40 per student. This includes transportation to Toronto and entrance to the Museum. Students who do not wish to participate will attend a special class which we will set up for this day.
• Please have your child bring the form and the money right away in order to finish with the booking of the bus and tickets to the Museum.

New Christmas Fundraiser:

• Begins November 3rd
• Deadline for orders is November 24th with distrubution on December 1st.
• The classes from JK-8 will make up a class Christmas card that that will then be sold in pkgs. of 12 for $18.00. People can buy their child's class cards (12) or a 12 variety pack that will include one from each grade and two more.

PD Day - No school

• Our school will be closed this day. The teachers from all international languages schools will take part int he P.D. day organized by the London Catholic School Board.

Christmas Assembly
