Snow Tubing - Saturday, February 4, 2006

Here Snow Tubing trip is still a go! Tubing will be held at River Valley Gold and Tube, located off Hwy 7, along the Thames River, just minutes from London. There will be a bus leaving at 12:30 from the Greek school. It will be taking us to the North Start Restaurant. All permission forms must be handed in before getting onto the bus. Thanks, hope to see you there.

Departure: 12:30 pm
Returning: 5:30 pm

 


"Lock Down" Retreat - November 26-27,2005 (Sat - Sun)

 
Here is information for the Lockdown Retreat this weekend. Please read the schedule and all of the information below.  Please complete the form and bring it with you to the retreat.  Please bring a pillow, sleeping bag and /or air mattress and anything else you need to sleep with.

The retreat will start at 7pm.  Here is the information.
 

Saturday November 26th

Special Guest Speaker: Tim Prattas, Youth Director,Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Toronto

  • 7:00 p.m.   - Start the retreat. Tim Prattas' presentation.
  • 7:45 p.m.   - Dinner will be Lenten pizza and pop.
  • 8:15 p.m.   - Make Artocrasia and/or Koliva at the Hellenic Center
  • 9:15 p.m.   - Q and A with Father and Tim Prattas in the balcony.
  • 10:15 p.m. - Free time for the kids i.e. karaoke etc.
  • 11:00 p.m. - Lights out. Maybe later
 
Sunday November 27th
 
  • 7:30 a.m. Wake up and get ready for church. 
  • 8:30 a.m. Prepare for the arrival of parishioners. 
  • All the Youth will be "running the Church" on Sunday - candles, the collection tray, etc.
 
Confession will be available for those who would like to during and after free time.
 
The retreat is free to all paid JOY members. 
For the kids who haven't paid their $10 membership fee, it will be collected at the retreat. 
Out of town participants are $15.
 
JOY aged participants must be accompanied by a guardian that is at least 16 years old.
 
Showers will not be available Sunday morning so please plan personal hygiene accordingly and please bring proper Church clothes.
 
Everyone is welcome to bring any munchies so you won't get hungry - chips, fruit trays etc. Hot chocolate and pop will be provided.
